Presight Solutions to exhibit and participate in interactive session on barriers at the IADC HSE AND SUSTAINABILITY CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION
The 2024 IADC HSE AND SUSTAINABILITY EUROPE CONFERENCE & EXHIBITION is held in Rotterdam the 17th until the 18th of September this year. The exhibition is a meeting place for subject matter experts to engage in interactive panel sessions to simulate new ideas and discussions on topics such as GHC emissions, training and developing the next generation as well as leveraging the digital technologies to further improve the industry’s safety performance.
Morten Andreassen, Senior Advisor (SME) in Risk Management at Presight Solutions, will participate in an interactive session on barriers, alongside Silke Maria Kirchner, Well Engineer Learning Advisor from IOGP, Romad Bulgachev, Risk Authority for Wells at bp, and Bryan Atchison, Managing Director of Safe Influx.

In the drilling industry, we typically differentiate between technical barriers and human barriers to ensure safe operations. Technical barriers often receive significant attention from owners, operators, and regulators. However, for truly safe operations, human barriers are equally important. Proper training and education of personnel to respond correctly in potentially dangerous situations are crucial. Are these aspects being addressed adequately, and what measures are in place to ensure we are taking the right steps?
