Presight Solutions is focusing on a new digital system for pipe and valve specifications and has entered into a new commercial agreement with OKEA.
Presight Solutions has entered into a commercial agreement with OKEA, in addition to Equinor and Vår Energi, to deliver Presight PipeSpec as a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution. The agreement marks the start of a new focus area for the company and opens for further growth in the Norwegian and international markets.
Presight PipeSpec has been developed in close collaboration with Equinor for more than 20 years and has so far been a solution reserved for Equinor’s own facilities under the name TR2000. The solution is well known among professionals throughout the value chain, from operators and contractors to suppliers and manufacturers.
With the new agreement, the system has been upgraded, moved to the cloud and made commercially available to the entire industry.
This marks an important step for Presight Solutions into a new area of focus, while also strengthening the company’s position as a supplier of digital solutions for the process industry.
“Together with Equinor, we have developed a solution that has been the industry standard for decades. Now we are making it available to the entire industry. This gives us a unique opportunity to grow, while contributing to increased safety and efficiency at facilities in Norway and internationally,”

Beneficial for the entire industry
Equinor has invested significantly in the development of TR2000. The new agreement lays the foundation for these investments to benefit the entire industry. PipeSpec makes it easier to standardise and share knowledge across operators, contractors and suppliers.
The solution is relevant for oil and gas facilities, onshore facilities, refining, offshore wind transformers and other process industries.
At the same time, the company is in dialogue with several other operators. Demand shows that the market needs digital solutions that collect, quality assure and make critical specifications available.
‘Pipe and valve systems are crucial for safe operation. By digitising the processes and making the specifications easily accessible, we reduce both the risk of serious incidents and costs. This provides significant benefits for the entire industry – and we see great growth potential in offering this as a scalable SaaS solution,’ says Johnsen.
A flexible solution for the industry
PipeSpec can be adapted to various standards such as NORSOK, ASME, API and ISO, and can be integrated with digital twins, procurement systems and 3D design. The solution covers the entire life cycle from planning and design to operation and maintenance, enabling operators to work more efficiently and with higher quality.
The agreement with Okea, Equinor and Vår Energi will therefore not only be a growth driver for Presight Solutions, but also a joint effort to strengthen safety, cooperation and innovation throughout the industry.
